During the winter months Liberty typically sees claims of cable jackets cracking and splitting from customers. In almost every instance the product exhibits splits and cracks every couple of feet. This is not a defective cable but is an example of incorrect installation procedure by the installer. Plenum compounds are very stiff due to the additions of chemicals to prevent flame spread and smoke generation. Cold temperatures cause this to become very brittle and when the cable is flexed – the jacket shatters and/or cracks as shown below: [Read More](https://blog.libertycable.com/plenum-rated-cable-pulling-and-installation-practices-in-cold-weather?hsLang=en-us) 1 Comment [Click here to read/write comments](https://blog.libertycable.com/plenum-rated-cable-pulling-and-installation-practices-in-cold-weather?hsLang=en-us#comments-listing) Topics: [Technical Bulletin,](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/technical-bulletin), [plenum](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/plenum), [cold](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/cold), [cable cracking](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/cable-cracking), [plenum cable](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/plenum-cable), [cold weather](https://blog.libertycable.com/topic/cold-weather) # [Become a Wireless Network Guru in few simple steps](https://blog.libertycable.com/become-a-wireless-network-guru-in-few-simple-steps?hsLang=en-us) Posted by [Arthur de Jager](https://blog.libertycable.com/author/arthur-de-jager) on Oct 4, 2017 11:00:00 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) [![](https://gallery.mailchimp.com/5ab8eeeed4bd218ae1cab44b0/images/5e709c94-ded4-4589-b565-7c4806da5dc7.jpg)](https://blog.libertycable.com/become-a-wireless-network-guru-in-few-simple-steps?hsLang=en-us) #### How to get the most out of your Wireless Networks *By Arthur de Jager, CEO of Niveo Professional* #### The (non-)sense of heat maps We regularly receive requests to, based on a blue print of a building, to create a heatmap.
